All Or Nothing
If you want to come to me, come not only to take;
I am willing to love you if you carry life in your hands.
You cannot grab love, it will only elude you;
If you think you possess it, love is already gone...
If you want to come to me, come to give and receive;
I shall not ever love you if you make walls that close in.
You must break down the walls, create space to become;
If you think love is alive, so much more shall we live.
If you want love as only a pasttime, I pray do not seek me;
If my love is a mere challenge, save me, please, from your ego!
For if it means only some pleasure to you, I don't want the pain;
Love is a total experience for me, that is, body, mind and soul.
If you think I'm too good for you, I'm sorry you feel such a distance.
You have put up walls to control me, to keep me from your heart;
I am no angel with a high, lacy collar, but, humbly, a woman with passion;
when you come finally to me, we will give all of ourselves or nothing.
